Overview

The Recover Email feature helps users regain access to their accounts by attempting to retrieve the most recently used email address associated with a login attempt. This process is limited and depends on recent activity.

How It Works

  • Only the most recently used email is temporarily stored.
  • If a recent login was detected, that email is used for recovery.
  • If no match is found, the system redirects to registration.
➜ User clicks "Recover Email" on the login screen and enters their username, password, and optional email hint.
➜ System checks localStorage/sessionStorage for a recently used email.
Was a recent email used?
If Yes: Autofills and logs the user in.
If No: Redirects the user to the Register page.

Tips for Successful Recovery

  • Use the same device and browser you logged in with previously.
  • Ensure cookies or local storage are not cleared.
  • Try to recall the email or email clues used last.

Frequently Asked Questions

A: If no recent email is found, the system can't recover it. You should register again using a valid email.

Q: Is my email stored permanently?
A: It is stored temporarily for recovery and permanently for login and communication purposes.
